When We Speak About God…

At WayLight, when we speak about God, we are not referring to a distant force, a local tradition, or a cultural idea.
We are speaking about the God of the Bible — the One true, living God, who exists eternally and personally.

Who is the God of the Bible?

He is the Creator of all things — the heavens, the earth, and every person.
He is holy, which means pure and perfect.
He is loving, not only in word, but in action — reaching out to people who are broken, lost, or far from Him.
He is just, which means He cares about what is right and wrong.
He is merciful, offering forgiveness even when we don’t deserve it.
He is personal, not an energy or force, but a Being who speaks, feels, and invites us into relationship.

“The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.”
– Psalm 145:8

He revealed Himself over time — to Abraham, Moses, David, the prophets — and finally and fully through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The God of the Bible is:

• Father – the source of life and love

• Son (Jesus Christ) – the visible image of the invisible God

• Holy Spirit – God’s presence living within those who believe

This is the Trinity — one God in three Persons, eternal and united in love.
